I'm useless for the rest of the day. I try try try to stay away from the internet and get work done but I really can't. I should just not try.

I hear ya - I would probably be much more efficient and valuable as an employee if I didn't surf the net and blog all day.
I do the same. Being a stay at home Mom would drive me crazy without the internet.
