Marriage
thus is the pattern of relationships: men spend three weeks buying us flowers, and then we spend 75 years cleaning their toilets.
Marriage is always something I thought I wanted, but as I age I wonder if it's the fairy tale I thought it was going to be. I had a front row seat at my parents' marriage--and at my friend's divorce proceedings.
Marriage is like a trip to Paris--with a fifty percent chance the plane with explode over the Atlantic. Yet people still try it anyway.
