To Keep the Family Name

People excited that you gave birth to a boy in order to keep the family name are tools.

but i love throwing that phrase around, "to keep the family name." especially using it in unecessary circumstances. i must eat another foot-long hot dog to keep the family name!

my mom had a saudi grad school student living in her guesthouse some years ago. we found out that his (saudi) wife got a gold/diamond necklace when she had a boy, but no presents when she had a girl. no shit. it's all about the name.

Hey now. Don't make me live in your new-age Western "it's all good" world of eco-feminism. I came here for the education, not an indoctrination into the ways of the Great Satan.

I mean, come on - what the fucks? If you lived in my country, you wouldn't even have a blog, let alone presents when you give me a female child.

I am being very good, Infidel Girl, thanking you. Riyad is always a hopping and hipping place, as you know.

I hope you are over your rash. I have wished for your torment to be gone.
