Tori Amos

I don't "get" Tori Amos. I kinda "got" her first albumn, Little Earthquakes because it had lyrics that made the most sense. Then, she just lost me. I bought most of her successive albumns, but listened to them less and less. She's just too out there and her lyrics are just a little too 8th-grade angsty for me. Grow up! Tell us how you really feel/are today. Don't keep us guessing cuz we're all just thinking about ourselves anyway.

I totally agree with you. I really liked little earthquakes, bought her next album and dropped her after that. I know she has a small but rabid fan base. I guess she likes it like that.

There are some hot metaphoric things going on on Choir Girl Hotel. Raspberry Swirl, Playboy Mommy ...

or maybe I just have a weird metaphoric mind.

I am a fan of Tori Amos, but I certainly see your point! Tori Amos is certainly 'out there'. However, I read her biography, "Piece by Piece", and can easily see where she's coming from... or rather, her music makes 'sense' to me now. Although, I must admit her music appealed to me much more when I was younger.
